hey now.. that's pretty darn neat!
Yes, me thinks I'm going to need a trip to HF.
At work I do quite a few of the 12-10 yellow crimps and these old hands are not what they use to be.

I would drive to a your local battery supply store (not an auto parts store but one that just sells batteries) with your bucket truck next season and they should have all the possible crimp end and tools on site to fix you up. The shop we use has T type crimp lugs in stock.
2/0 Battery wire and welding wire is quite often larger than building wire of the same size. 2/0 is not always 2/0. For 2/0welding I would buy 3/0 crimp lugs and then crimp with a 3/0 die, check fit and quite often recrimp with a 2/0 die if I was not happy with the job. 2/0 crimp fittings do not always fit. some wire seems larger and some smaller nowadays.
Cam.
Sorry - I wasn't clear. Tousely has been good on parts overall for me. It is their car sales side that is slimy

The new cable arrived today. Sure enough, big heavy duty sucker just like the original one on the old '97. But I suppose since a Ford parts place gave me the part number after getting my VIN & vehicle description it probably should be just like the original.
The truck really does only get around 3k miles of seasonal use put on it every year. But I elected to listen to Chris & Brian and fix it hopefully once for many years to come.
Awesome JZ, the high road for sure. Don't forget some form of anti corrosive protection. I prefer the felt washers myself.
SG, check it out. Wasn't expecting the blow mold case.
If everything works as stated, I'll post a update in the HF thread. First lesson thou, get the size correct or it'll get squished up good.
