Just to keep things alive I am covered up with work and family events and have not been able to go back. I have spoken with the owner and he says it did run when he parked it and just never used it again. Not real surprised by that because the old car looked to be complete and probably runs and he has just let it set and go down, so the same has probably happened to the tractor. Also need to give it a little time so that there isn't any ethics problems related to my work. I inspect homes for insurance companies and he is having problems that I suspect are caused by not repairing his home from previous losses paid. Nothing to do with me, but I've had people accuse me of things before.

Maybe you could send a family member or friend to pick it up to avoid any ethic issues. I doubt there would be any since I'm not sure if there's wiggle room in the price, it's very cheap to being with. Around here you would of had to move on it quickly or it would have been gone but it sounds like it's not going anywhere so you could wait.
Well it never fails. Since my last post I have found out my wife is pregnant, which is always a blessing, unexpected but a blessing just same. I then found out my work lost a major account and lay-offs are immanent. So no tractor for me but I believe my brother is going to get it either way I'll keep everyone posted and always appreciate the abundance of help and information members of the site give. Thank you all. God is really working in my life and my wife got a full time job with insurance just before we found out about the baby and the lay-offs so I have faith all will be well.

I hope the work issues smooth over.
Perhaps you could look at it this way. If a tractor is in the cards, then it is hard to go wrong with a $300 one. Perhaps it is time to run down and look at the prices on some of the new Kubotas and Deeres.
And with the tiller, you could have your own garden (after the capital outlay, it can save a bundle). Perhaps till all the other gardens in the neighborhood. The tractor could pay for itself in a weekend.
If the tractor hasn't sold yet, I'm a bit surprised.

Ok.. where is this tractor? I have $300, truck, trailer and an itch! 
Well the end of thread has come. I still do not have a full time job, just doing odd jobs to make it. I am currently working on building a body shop. The insured's (tractor owner) A/C repair man called me and he had not been payed, which there was nothing I could do about that, and then the insured called and he had not been payed, also nothing I can do about that. I'm just walking away from it there's to much bagage attached to it to be worth the effort. I'll just pick up a Jubelee or a 3000 Ford here local when things get back to normal and be done with it.
