300 Cx loader broken at R/H upper Pivot Point.

This kind of failure is common even on big wheel loaders when the loader is subjected to heavy impact loading at the cutting edge. Like digging and scraping rock.

Check the bucket pin locations too.

By any chance do you do anything extra ordinary with yours? FEL plow?

Same question-doing anything particularly severe? I put a lot of loader plow hours on my 300CX 3320 before I sold it (Over 900 hrs) and continue to put my 400x 4720 to same kind of service. If I worried about anything on these 300/400 loaders it has been the strength of the Made in China tower castings.

After the repair was carried out, I did do a bit more investigating, what I found was the right hand lift cylinder was bypassing under heavy load, putting a torsion load on the right hand side. I think that is what caused it to crack.
Because of the tie bar from left side to right side, when I removed the bucket to load the forks, both links moved in unison. Once I removed the tie bar bolts I noticed the right hand attach link was lagging the left .

I put a bar thru the link, and had my wife cycle the bucket controls, and I was able to hold the arm in position while the left side lifted as normal.

I don't plow with the loader, I do move a lot of dirt and rock, so the majority of the work would be lifting. I have never removed the loader due to using it for front ballast while using the 485 backhoe, witch has also never been removed.
The unit has 900 hrs on it.

One more note: if you ever have your units hyd system serviced at the dealer, tell them you would like the suction filter returned to you, as this metal filter is quite cleanable with an ultrasonic bath.

Your dealer actually replaced it??? It's pretty common knowledge that this part gets cleaned and only replaced when damaged.

Looks as though some foreign object got wedged between the pivot point and loader arm. Not how the steel is peeled back from raising the loader arm. I seriously doubt it just broke under normal use.

And cylinders on any loader will move out of sync when not linked together.

The bucket was loaded and extended at the time, thus the bent up bracket .
