Well I just went over 300 hours on my tractor so it is time to replace the hydraulic fluid. Others have talked about the squeiling of the hydraulics on their New Hollands and mine has never done that until just this last spring. So my question is what oil did everyone change over to, and do I have to get all of the old oil out or do a double oil change or what?

Just drain and refill with Amsoil Hyd fluid as well as changing the filters.

I guess I didn't realise you could use the Amsoil. I thought New Holland had a different oil to use but you could not mix the two. And yes I will change both the hydrualic filter and the tranny filter.

Haz,

Can I just drain the existing oil and then refill or do I have to get all of the old oil out??

You do not have to get all the old oil out regardless of whether you put dino or syn back in.

My NH dealer does not even carry F200. Since they also sell Kubota, the only syn they carry is SUDT. Amsoil Syn Tractor Hyd fluid is approved for use in NH. I've been using it for over a year.
