3000 series hydraulic surging

my 3520 did the same thing. I never did anything about it and traded it for a 5083 E. It does the same thing.

Any other 3x20 owners experience hydraulic surging, cavitating, or hicups when using the loader? My loader will jerk or hicup frequently when raising the loader or dumping the bucket kind of like air pockets. It does help a little to push the joystick over to regen position but will still do it. Dealer said its normal and I drove another 3320 that did it some but not quite as much. My 3320 only has 128 hrs. Also once in a while my steering turns hard just out of the blue for several seconds and then returns to normal for however many hours it decides. Anybody else experience the same?

Just a follow up on this issue. I installed worm drive hose clamps on the inlet of each hydraulic pump next to the spring clamps and that seemed to help a lot with the surging issue. Now it only hiccups once in a while. It still gave me hard steering once again for no apparent reason so i will have to keep searching for that. Thanks to everyone for your input.

I've had a case with Deere regarding mine doing this for qa few years now. When I use the hydro hard to push material the loader gets aerated fuel. Recently I had a major leak issue with the rubber suction manifold being cracked. I replaced it and corrected the stress caused by the supply pipe and it seems that my hydraulics are much better.

I have had no issues with steering, but I do now have the rattle/buzz in teh steering tubes up in the dash area that I need to look into.

I had the same occasional cavitation on my 3320. I found that both fittings on my steering ram were about 1/2 turn loose. Enough to let some air in but not a drop of fluid leaked out. Might want to check all of your hydraulic fittings. A couple on my top and tilt were loose also. I'm going to put some hose clamps on my intake hose now too. Good luck.
