Yep, JB4310 it is really close and sometime comes off with slightly non-synchronized pops:eek:

I have a smaller tractor (2305) with a 200CX loader, so I don't know if this will work for you.
I posted a thread about detaching the loader with the bucket removed. I wanted to store the bucket outside, and the loader inside, but didn't have enough room.
Worked out great for me, eliminates that whole tip the bucket 20 degrees thing.

You know i was thinking about doing the same in my shed to position the loader in a different spot to provide more room in the shed for other stuff.
what type of dollies did you use? What did they cost and where did you get them?

Got the dollies from Harbor Freight around thanksgiving, for about $10 each. Added some plywood reinforcement between the carpeted rails and swivel wheel in the middle. Attached a 2x4 between the two dollies on each end to keep them moving in unison. Very crude but effective. Used them for the bucket and pallet fork - in order to move the items around the garage as needed.

I don't have a cab so not sure if that's the difference but I never had to put tranny in neutral, once the bucket is on the ground the masts start lifting off the posts. The bucket and loader do slide forward on the ground maybe a foot or so, but I don't see that as any worse or better than the machine rolling back away from the loader.

Having in neutral may be necessary for the close clearance of the cab models as there is a slight pop on and off the posts, being in neutral might smooth that transition just enough to make it less hair raising, worried about the glass.

I timed the removal last time I took it off, 4 minutes with out rushing and that was with wiping fluid off the hands.

JB,

I've got the open station as well, and leaving the tractor in neutral helps avoid gouges and chips out of my new concrete floor... (I learned this the hard way)...

Ok, that looks good and pretty easy to get together. Thanks for the pics.
