Loader 300CX loader question

Is there a purpose for hole at the top of the loader arms? It's got a plastic ring in it so I assume it's for something, but I have no idea what.

It is to mount a Mirror.

Actually, I believe it is one of the hold down points used to secure the FEL when shipped to the dealer.

On the 430 it is to access the grease fitting. I assume it is the same on the 300.

I've considered it a protected pass-thru for optional equip; wires, hydraulic line, etc

Hiya,

If I remember correctly, the masts are bolted down and the cross tube in the front is banded to the pallet. I may be wrong but I think that's how it's shipped

Don't know... I never considered it. Thanks, now I've got one hundred and FOUR things to do around the property = find out what those holes are for! :confused2:

I'll try to remember to ask the JD Salesman when (if) he delivers the rest of my implements... I might as well confuse the heck out of him too.

Thanks for the replies. What surprises me is the plastic rings look perfect, not even scratched, so they look like they have never been used. If they were for shipping or lifting, I assume there would be at least a mark on them.

It's probably put there as a grabbing point during casting and painting.
