Hi all,

I have a 3320 with 300CX loader. Man has it been a lifesaver here in Colorado this year! Out moving snow again tonight for the 5th week in a row. Anyway, the hydraulic hose retainer on my loader keeps breaking. This is a plastic clamp and zip tie that attaches to the loader frame via a pin to keep the hoses from rubbing the side of the hood. I replaced this previously and it has now broken for the second time. Anyone experience this or have any advice? I did reroute my hoses the correct way with the quick connect fittings pointing up as I believe is correct after reading a previous post.

Thanks for any help,
Mike

Mikey, if you are continually breaking the heavy cable ties that hold the hyd. hoses to the boom there has to be some sort strain on them. In other words when you are working the loader the hoses are pulling and snapping the ties. Here's how I rerouted loader hoses on my 300CX. I moved the metal clamp to a lower loader hinge pin and removed the hose pin altogether. Set up this way it keeps the hoses farther away from the hood. Hope this helps. Sincerely, DIRT

I am not intending to hijack this thread, but I have a similar problem with the 300CX hydraulic routings, except mine is at the lower output lines. When I turn the front wheels fully to the right, my R4's are rubbing on those lines. Does this happen with yours too?

The tires shouldn't rub on the hoses even when the wheels are cut all the way to the right or left. You probably need to reconfigure the hoses so the 90 degree fittings are turned up. In this position there will be less slack in the hoses at the quick connectors and should clear your tires. The 300 loader manual has a pic of the hoses in the correct set up.

Dirtworks,

Do you have any more pix of your hose and clamp routing? My fittings are facing up and I thought I had the problem taken care of. I can see how moving that metal bracket might help. I think thats where my hangup is. The loop created towards the top is pulling on that metal sidehorn on the frame bracket at times (hope that makes sense) creating stress I think.

I don't have my loader on at the moment. I do have some more pics, but I'm not sure they would help. What is it that you need more detail of? Maybe you just need to slide the hoses within the clamp so that when you work the loader its not pulling the hoses. I can take some more pics if you need me too.

Thanks for all the replies. I guess I will detach the hoses yet again and adjust the top fittings to get a nice straight run and then reclamp and keep my fingers crossed. Glad I bought a spare hose retainer when I fixed it last time.

So these 90Deg output fittings should be facing upwards?

Champy, on the 3000 and 4000 series. Yes,up.....Actually the 300 loader manual has a pic of the quick attach hyd fittings for a 790 without a 90 degree fitting on it. It shows a straight fitting running into the two x two connectors. I assume the 990 would be the same as a 790. And just when you thought you had it figured out. It looks like the straight fittings would work better than what you have in the pic.

FYI - For those of you who may want this later, here is a link to the online version of the Deere Manual for the 300CX. I cannot verify if this is the absolute latest revision or not.............
