300CX Problem

Hi all,

To update you. I disconnected all my hoses, laid them out straight, and adjusted the fittings on the loader arm so they would all point correctly. This made a huge difference and I'll cross my fingers that problem is now solved since I'm on my last plasitc hose retainer.

Its all up to the guy at the dealership who set up the loader. If that guy follows the directions you shouldn't snap any cable ties, nor should any of the lines rub.

Don't assume that yours is correct just because that is the way it was when it was delievered. I used to set these up myself. There is plenty of room for error. I watched some of the other techs do it the wrong way once and a while. Of course I was just the punk kid who didn't know anything at the time.

MikeyB - Did you have any issues moving the fittings? I was concerned that trying to move them would result in dumping fluid everywhere.....if not then it must be a retainer nut to loosen then rotate the fittings? (I'm not able to look at mine right now)...except now that I think of it I have a problem with the lower fittings and yous was the upper ones.... anyone have input?

I loosened the fittings on the loader arm that connect the hose to the hard lines going down the loader arm to the hyd cylinders. With all the hoses laid out and the fabric sleeve pulled back you can turn each hose to get the qd fittings pointed in the right direction (up). The only problem is you really need a helper or 3 hands. Two fittings on the hardline and a third swivel type or similar that can be turned after the fittings are loosened to adjust the hoses. But, when you tighten everything up again its hard to hold the swivel hose fittings in position. Hence a helper or third hand is really helpful.
