The last inj pump I've had rebuilt was done by Southwest Metro Fuel in Ft Worth.

Thanks for all the help, I replaced the check valve yesterday. I also pulled off the top of the injector pump and there was quite a bit of crud in there. I blew out all of the fuel and crud from the injector pump then fitted it up. Unfortunately when putting it back together I accidentally jammed the fuel shut off solenoid lever into the throttle mechanism so, when I started it it instantly went ungovernered full throttle. And because the lever was jammed, it wouldn't shut off when I turned off the key. I thought that it would blow for sure. Fortunately I was able to disconnect the fuel line at the injector pump in time. I then put it back together correctly and it hasn't had a problem since. I worked with the tractor for about 8 hours today and didn't have any problems, so I am hoping that the pump is ok.

Eventually the inj pump will require a rebuild or at least the governor ring replaced. If engine ever start revving up on it's own then the inj needs attention immediately.

Going through the same thing on my Deere 350C dozer...
It has always ran well... had an all weekend job planned stumping a Christmas Tree Farm and about an hour in it lost power and quit...
Turns out the check valve for the return was plugged... cleaned it and good to go for about 10 minutes... repeated a few times and each time found a brownish fiber and little rust particles...
Removed the Check Valve and it ran fine all day Sunday...
From what I read taking out the check is only a temporary fix...
I have no idea how long temporary is... hours, weeks, months or the downside of running without it.
