3010 4WD

I need your help here guys...I have a coworker here who thinks he knows everything about everything and if it's not made by GM or IH(Case) it's junk. He says that the Kubota 3010 is available in two wheel drive and that's why they load the tires because you don't need loaded tires in 4 WD.I tried to tell him loaded tires are great for stability and counterweight with an FEL.As for making a two wheel drive I'm not sure about that....Whose right here? Also he claims that case(IH) is the only tractor made entirely in the U.S. Personally I think the guy is full of S***.

The Kubota L3010 is made in 2wd as well as 4wd. Interesting twist on loading tires your co-worker has. I know that farmers with large 4wd tractors load their tires to improve traction while using ground engaging implements. Maybe that’s because they are not using Case tractors./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I fill my tires because there is an immediately noticeable difference in stability and traction. Of course I don’t have a Case either./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I wonder what my 4WD lever actually does on my L3010...Gosh, all this time I could've sworn I had 4WD!

If I am not mistaken Case and New Holland are one and the same for the compact utility tractors. Check out a couple threads over in the New Holland forum. I can't remember where they are made but I am also sure the Case has the same Japanese made engine as NH.

The company I work for is a supplier to the heavy truck and ag/off-hiway markets. I've been to several Deere plants in US., seen engines come off the assembly line as well as entire tractors (with those same US made engines in them). Now I can't vouch for every single part, but it sure seems to me that those big Deeres are nearly 100% US made.

Those red Case "boomers" are made in Japan by Shiburu (sp), same as the NH's.

There's at least one 3010 4WD on Ebay right now, and I think (scary thought) there maybe two listed. In case you didn't know you can buy anything on Ebay.

Currently, 95hp and up Deere is U.S. I'm told. Any smaller, and I'm not sure... I know the compacts have yanmar engines, probably everything else on em is too... Doesn't matter much to me... Just means I get to buy some metric tools (yippee!! more tools!!)
economics direct who makes what anyway... but that's for another thread I guess.
