Say ronnie, if you tell us how you plan to use it we might be able to point you at one or the other.

ronnie, where does Mahindra list them as a sub compact?
I am a dealer and never saw a listing of them calling the 15 series a sub-compact.

I was browsing around and if you click the link in the post by itsme you will see it there. Go to that dealer's home page and then click the Mahindra Tractors link at the top left. In the list of categories they list the 15 series as sub-compact.

All the times I visited this page, I never noticed the reference to the 15 series as "sub compact."

As I stated in a previous post, I shopped and compared the 2810, 2615 and 3015 at my local dealer. With R4 Ag tires on each model, the 2615 and 3015 were larger than the 2810 in overall height and width. The width part may have just been my imagination but the height part was clear to me.

Billstractor.com has listed the 15 series as a subcompact and the 10 series as a compact , but the Mahindra sight list them both as compacts.

It does refer to the 15 series as light to medium duty and the 10 series as heavy duty.

I sit higher off the ground on my Mahindra 2810 HST and it looks bigger than in my Kioti DK-40 , but the DK-40 weighs 400 pounds more and has more HP. The extra weight allows me to do more.

When I bought mine I looked at the 10 and 15 series and went with the 2810HST for a number of reasons.

I like the bigger front tires for rough terrain. ( they are the same size as the DK-40 )

The subframe for a backhoe on the 10 series is up beside the tractor frame. The 15 series is under the machine. ( At the time I bought mine they didn't have a backhoe for the 15 series yet, and the 3015 wasn't on the market.)

I spend a lot of time in the woods and felt the 10 series would work better for me

10 or 15 series they are both good lines.

Jay thanks for answering the question about the Mahindra site. With the time difference I can't keep up with the post.

As to what I will use the tractor for: I have 5 acres of pasture, 1/2 mile gravel road, 1/2 dozen drive ways. I help my neighbors with there total of 85 acres, since I have the only tractors. I chop, plow, grade, disk and generally have lots of fun when nothing is broke. And that's why I need to retire my two old pals.

Thanks, I've wondered if that was the case.

Sound like the 2810 is the right one for you. I would say the 2810 is more of a utility tractor and the 15 is more of a heavy duty estate tractor. Not to say there isn't alot of overlap but if you said finish mow plus a few other things the the 15 might be best. Utility work with some mowing the 10 is likely best.

in Tx,

Thanks. In fact that is the direction I was leaning. My local dealer has offered me a good deal on a 2810 gear w/fel, only 20 hours. It's one of his demo's. This will give me alittle more HP than what I have now but alot more pulling power and pushing power ,4wd, and that's what I really need, if I don't want to spend all day in the field. Now I need to find a used quick connect BH to fit this thing. Can't afford nor justify the cost of a new one.
