Still can't figure the 'skiddin' logs thing out... you guys must get free chains for your chainsaw..I'm a whack up where she falls guy.... Don't run anything thru my chipper that even has a hint of sand on it....
I know what you mean; my stuff sits on a deck for 6-8 months, I'm decking for 2104-15 winter now. The bark and sand usually washes or falls off before I butcher & split.
I'm not situated on a former glacial-field/ moraine like some people....., the Oregon Coast Range being the latest mass of land that floated here from the South Pacific, possess volcanic soil that is like velvet. :cloud9:
We do have erratic glacial rocks that were transported here on giant icebergs during one of the Missoula Floods; one particular rock down the road at 400 feet above sea level weighs 90 tons, I haven't hit one of them yet.....:drink:
