I get my tractor back this Thursday
I do not have the full picture yet but the dealership and maintenance team installed a brand new HST which I was told costs roughly $3,000.00 plus new filters and oil, all the labor and parts before the "big decision" was made, and it checks out OK. They even offered me free delivery.
I got to look at the leaky HST (on a shelf) and I was briefed that that something went wrong in the internal casting and the oil was coming out on the output shaft end not through a seal or "O" ring (I don't like the letter "O" very much any more......:thumbdown

, but all I seen was a series of mated surfaces :confused3:.
The service manager rattled-off some letters to describe the new HST as a version which is more robust than the original HST, and they said during the test-drives, they noticed the tractor was a bit stronger and faster than before.
Waiting on the corporate approval process and parts (over the holidays) certainly modified my future expectations of having an oil leak repaired on this tractor, but I know I have chosen a great dealership to buy this tractor and my future implements from; Valleyview Tractor & Equipment displayed a lot of honestly, resolve, patience, and professionalism through-out this lengthy process, and they kept me informed. I really appreciate the job they did for me!
This all started 33 working days ago at 65 hours when I was greasing the pedal linkage; I noticed a little hydraulic oil leaking from a drain hole on the the bottom of the HST, wow.
I'll post the end-item numbers of the new HST when I get the chance.
