Mahindra 3016
I just bought a new Mahindra, the clutch pedal has about 1-2" of play until you feel pressure. Can any of you guys or gals give me some help on how to adjust the clutch on this tractor?

Thanks in advance.

1 or 2" of free travel is about what you want.
Doesn't sound like it needs adjusted.

yup, that's about where it should be.

I see, I was nervous because I have A LOT of hills on my property that require me to use the clutch way more than I want to. Plus since it was new, maybe the peddle is just getting "broken in"

I sure hope I would not have to adjust it with less than 100 Hours. Is there a check I should be doing or a is there a way to gauge the need to adjust it?

As a clutch wears with use, the pedal will rise. You'll know when it needs some adjusting when the 'freeplay' at the top decreases to little or none.

They don't often need adjusting until many many years have gone by.

Yes, just keep it at around 1 to 2" of free travel.
If your free travel gets to be less you may need to adjust

using the clutch won't hurt it, riding or slipping the clutch will. don't rest your foot on clutch pedal
