3016 slow following 50 hr service

Our 3016 HST just came back from the dealer. It seems really slow, and gutless following the 50 hr service - like the engine has no power. Forward speed is just a crawl. What could they have done? They are over an hour away, so not convenient to return.

HST or Manual?

The most likely- if the throttle increases without load- is a fuel obstruction. The most common spot is in the tank where the fuel line comes out at the bottom.

If it's a HST it could have the wrong fluid and or filter that is causing a lack of pressure and or volume to "power" the HST. Other filters will "fit" in the HST filter location which may have happened.

It should be a relatively easy fix.

I ran into this once when I got diesel contaminated with water in it. Take a look your fuel filter/water separator. It should be clear (not cloudy). Drain it and inspect the filter of course. Disconnect and drop the inlet line into a container and turn the key 1-click so the fuel pump starts to prime to see if you get fuel.

I'll have to check the invoice again. I think they replaced the FF. Actually, for $629, they better have!

Holey-schmoley! There is no shame in doing the service intervals yourself, and then take you and your whole family out to a VERY nice dinner. :thumbsup:

BTW, is your dealer in Newberg or Salem, to be an hour from you?

If I'd paid that much I'd pick up the phone and have them come get it and make it right on their nickle.

yes, I complained. They removed 2 hours ($220) from the invoice. They claim $336 was parts and shop supplies.

4 filters, hydraulic fluid, engine oil and some grease. That's at least $200.

I would have them come fix it, knocking off $220 dollars from the bill does nothing to get your machine running. If you took it to the dealer yourself I would load it back up and get it back to them. Its well worth the time to get it running good again. You paid for it, they should make it right.

I know if it was my dealer they would be coming out with a rollback to pick it up. Demand they come out and either fix in on site or take it back to the shop.
