Brand new to the forum and have spent too many hours trying to find local filters for hydraulic and HST filters.
So far OEM 19642509000 I have found WIX 57118 for hydraulic filter.
OEM 1968258100 did not show a WIX for HST filter, but,
OEM 1963255800 found WIX 51663. It has same 1-1/8-16 thread as WIX 57118 and rated at 10 micron
WIX 51664 is rated at 20 micron.

My HST filter seems to have same thread as hydraulic filter, and is about the same diameter but not as tall. The attached gaskets are different.

Any one with experience or advice ?

You will find the price of the wix filters is more than the oem from the dealer...I did.

Thanks. I will see if the WIX are available locally and compare prices for future, but now I am down, without hy-trans fluid. First time backing off the backhoe attachment, I did not appreciate the danger to hydraulic filter and punctured it. Bad timing, but have just reached 100 hrs, so time for the first change.

you punctured a filter when removing/attaching the BH ??????????

I don't see how that's possible. The filters are in front of the rear axle and the BH is behind.

Did I misread something?

Each time I read about crossing filter part numbers I think why? The oem filters are what the manufacture used when testing and if there was a better filter they would have used it one your tractor. We try to save a couple bucks and risk the use of our tractor. The dealer stocks the oem filters sure he makes a couple bucks on the filter but why not throw him a bone, you might want a bone back during your ownership. And how much did you save if the filters fit but are not the same spec's. Not to mention your time and efforts searching the "will fits" Support your friendly dealer or find a friendly dealer and use oem filters.

I should have said pulling forward, not backing off. The backhoe is attached by two 4 foot long beams which attach by one pin on each side to brackets attached to the frame just behind the front wheels. On these beams is a vertical member which, when I pulled forward that piece of the left beam struck the hydraulic filter and punctured it. When I discovered this I had to reattach the hoses to backhoe and push down on the hoe to lower the beams, the unhook the hoses and pull forward away from the hoe. Next time I will be aware of this as the clearance for these beams is very tight. My manual for the MH66 hoe does not show this type of attachment or give any warning. I like the design, just two pins, unhook hoses and pull away. I will see how easy the reverse is to reattach the hoe.

Another question. To keep the hydraulic ends clean, on the hoe I joined the two. On the tractor, I did the same, but now am having second thoughts as this would seem to be an open circuit which will just put demand on the pump and remove from the bucket circuit. Is this so ?

Sounds like you have an aftermarket hoe? My OEM hoe has 3 hoses. One has to be plugged into another when the bh is disconnected. The other female connector on the tractor is left alone.

When I pull 2 pins near the 3pt top arms, the hoe comes off 2 hooks on the bottom and is free. There is no under frame to remove.

Do you really need to remove stuff all the way to the front wheels, or is there a simpler way you've overlooked?

There is no other connection than the under tractor arms that I have described. There is no attachment to or near the three point hitch arms or upper link. I bought this tractor in BC, Canada used, on consignment from the original buyer's widow, and do not know where the hoe was assembled, but the manual is for model MH66. My hoe is supplied by only two hydraulic hoses which supply the banks of valve controls.

the bh that comes (came) on the 3016's here are model 3716. Perhaps the earlier versions of the 3016 had different ones.

The 3716 can come off and on in a matter of a minute or so if you're lucky with the lineup of the connectors.

Thanks. I think this 3016 is 2012 model. The loader is model ML25 and does not quick detach or match with skidsteer implements.
