I have a new 3030 with cab and wondered if anyone knows if there is a charcoal filter or other filter available for the a/c air intake?

The a/c works great but the system sucks in all the airborne crap in the air so in an hour I'm dying from Ragweed and other pollutants.

Any other solution would also be much appreciated other than wearing a full face respirator!

Thanks

There is a filter outside the cab on the back. I don't know if anything else is available. Have you tried running it on recirculate to reduce the amount of fresh air drawn into the cab?

Found out from my dealer that the cab does not have a filter only a screen. Mmmm must be a way to figure out a fix to put some filter media in there!

Many newer cars have cabin air filters. Perhaps get one of these at an auto parts store and cut it down to fit if too large. Aftermarket filters are about $20,nicer dealer filters are more like $40-$50. I'd be curious to what you might do. Maybe I'd put one in our tractor as well.

Your dealer is wrong there is a filter on my 3030cab and I already replaced it once, I bought the new filter from the dealer.

Boy you must be covered with all kinds of stuff without the filter installed .
on the back of the roof of the cab remove the six thumb screws and the filter goes right in there..
The number is TA043-7160-0
Good luck and enjoy your much nicer cab conditions

I think I would be pissed; as the usually wet evap most likely has a thin coat of plant fibers/dust/etc coating the face of the core, slowing down air flow as well as acting as an insulator so the evap does not transfer heat quite as well. When the dealer said screen he probably meant on the inside; on the outside the filter is visible. Don't own a B3030HSDC or HSDCC yet, but does anyone know if when the recirc/fresh lever is flipped to recirc, does the flap divert the air through the filter, or does the flap just close the external intake, and the inside (recirc) air just passes through the screen in the inner rear ceiling headliner without further filtering?

EDIT: A plus (somewhat) for the dealer, the filter on every Kubota with the rear pickup point (vs side of cab ) has had the filter installed already, as I have seen many still in the crate, still wrapped/partially wrapped in the plastic, and the filter is visible, so the dealer does not probably specifically check this during dealer level assembly/PDI, but it does somewhat fall under "make note of any missing parts" if they were observant. I bet someone one the lot decided those "no tools required" thumbscrews were nice, and got a new filter at the dealer, but not at the parts dept. I would think if the tractors were supplied with a charcoal activated filter, the filters might be plastic wrapped and installed at time of sale, since the charcoal will last 6mos-1year, even if the filter is flowing good enough to still work well without restriction. Some tractors sit on the lot for well over a year sometimes.
