Firstly I would like to thank everyone on this board. I recently took delivery of a 3030 with cab, FEL and Blower. Much of my decision was based on the content that you fine posters have offered others. Thanks again!!!

To business. I got delivery of my new tractor last night. I took the FEL off and put on the blower. The blower has a hydraulic shute rotator. To control the left and right movement you use the control stick to the left or right respectively. The delivery guy said that Kubota has a new value system...so in order to move it to the right, I have to push on the control stick until I get to the second section. (Identical to putting the tractor in the float position only this if moving the control lever to the right instead of up) I find this very very awkward and difficult to control when trying to point it in the right direction. I asked a freind of mine who also recently bought a 3030 and he does not have this problem. Not only does he not have this problem, his contol does not even have a second stage to the right.

If anyone can tell me what I have that is different and why. I would be thankful. When I cal the dealer about this I would like to know a little more than I know now.

The one thing I know is I cant go through winter with this setup because many of the drive I do I hae to be precise as to where the snow is thrown.

Thanks in advance.

Russ

BTW, when the control is pushed to the right lightly, nothing happens but the lines are pressured (I can see them and hear it)

Hello russ. I also have a new B3030 HSDC & 2782 blower. The hydraulic chute control is something you will get used to in time. I'm guessing that your friend has a non cab 3030 with the standard joystick control, that valve set up is different than the cab. I have owned both loader controls and IMHO the remote valve control is FAR SUPERIOR to the standard joystick. Just give it a little time, with some practice, operating that chute control will become second nature.

You have a 4-way (sometimes called 4-position) loader valve and your dealer gave you the correct instructions. Your setup will only work correctly with the 4-way valve. Your detent for the second position may be stiffer than your friends valve which is why his appears to be smooth.

This has been discussed many times here on TBN. Here is a post by a Kubota mechanic that explains the internal workings of the valve and why the way it was designed as it was.

3-way vs 4-way valve

If you want to slow down the cylinder operation to get a more precise control, you can always go to 1/4" hoses or add a flow restrictor to the work port circuit.
