Firstly I would like to thank everyone on this board. I recently took delivery of a 3030 with cab, FEL and Blower. Much of my decision was based on the content that you fine posters have offered others. Thanks again!!!

To business. I got delivery of my new tractor last night. I took the FEL off and put on the blower. The blower has a hydraulic shute rotator. To control the left and right movement you use the control stick to the left or right respectively. The delivery guy said that Kubota has a new value system...so in order to move it to the right, I have to push on the control stick until I get to the second section. (Identical to putting the tractor in the float position only this if moving the control lever to the right instead of up) I find this very very awkward and difficult to control when trying to point it in the right direction. I asked a freind of mine who also recently bought a 3030 and he does not have this problem. Not only does he not have this problem, his contol does not even have a second stage to the right.

If anyone can tell me what I have that is different and why. I would be thankful. When I cal the dealer about this I would like to know a little more than I know now.

The one thing I know is I cant go through winter with this setup because many of the drive I do I hae to be precise as to where the snow is thrown.

Thanks in advance.

Russ

BTW, when the control is pushed to the right lightly, nothing happens but the lines are pressured (I can see them and hear it)

OK, with a bit of searching I can see that it is called a regenerative dump circuit. Next question would be; Is there a way to hook it up so I am able to contol the spin a lot more precisily? When I pass the detente on the control level it is very hard to just apply a tiny movement. Is this simply a function of it being new and I am not used to it? In other words lousy operator?

I have the same set-up and mine operates exactly like yours. I have to go hard to the right to get it to move. It won't get easier or "break-in" with time, there's no feathering while rotating to the right. I find I'm getting used to it, but I agree, it's a nuisance.

K1, whats the story on the 1.5 inch height difference on your blower? 1/8 of an inch i can see, 1.5 is bad!

You have 2 choices. Go to a smaller diameter hose (1/4") or place a flow restrictor near the blower's cylinder.

I used the 1/4" diameter hoses for my rear blower and it works just fine for feathering. I am sure it would be just fine for a front mount too.

I have no answers as to why it's out so much. FEL and Blower are both the same. I'm all ears if anyone has any brilliant ideas! I think I'm going to have to call the dealer on this one, they've been supportive with any issues I've had. I just don't see them taking it for a couple days and solving the problem, skeptical outlook I know, comes with age I guess.

I think the best thing to do with your control valve would be to send it to me /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif so I don't have to buy one like it to use on my ft. blade setup. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
