I can not seem to find any info on 3033r with cab from owners on this forum. I am contemplating one with cab and mmm (60 or 72).
Does any one on here own one? I am specifically concerned with turf tires and mmm size. I used to own a 2520 with 62 mmm and turf tires and loved it other than the fact it did not have a cab. I am interested in how much damage one does with the turf tires. The smaller 2520 did not imprint as badly as my scag does. I am under the impression that the 6 ft deck would really scalp but I am advised not to get the 5 foot( wont cover tire tracks). Any advice from owners and is the cab really quiet or do you need hearing protection?

Hiya,

I'm not sure there are that many 3033r cab owners out there yet to ask questions of. I have a 3320 cab which is pretty much the same tractor less tier 4 emissions and some additional safety interlocks.

I also used to have a 2520 that I used to cut my lawn. First thing I would be concerned with if you have a septic system, a cab tractor is not going to tread lightly over that, you should make sure that your system can handle a 4000+ lb machine rolling over it. (~3600lbs for tractor dry plus whatever is hung off it )

The tractor is heavy enough to rut your lawn if it's damp unlike the 2520 which would only slightly depress itself in my experience. The 60" deck would cover the turf tires width on the 3033r if they are set to narrow as I have a 59" snow blower on mine and it clears by a couple inches on each side.

The cab on mine is nice and quiet, running at full throttle blowing snow it's not noisy at all, more like riding in a car down the highway.

I have the 3046r w/cab.
I can only speak to the noise level - It drops the noise around 80db if I remember the glossy hand out correctly.
In my world, I still want some ear plugs for the engine noise.
I am using a rear mower, so I would expect a midmount would be louder, but I don't notice the mower as much as the regular engine noise at PTO RPM.
