This winter my r3039H started at approx-20 c. While it was running there was a grinding noise that came and went. When it was in normal operating temperature range there were no hydraulics available. Forward and reverse pedals moved easily but no motion. The bucket lifted in a jerky manner and then quit.
today +3 Celsius tractor starts and moves the bucket operates smoothly.
This thing does not like the cold and I have to jumper the safety switch on the seat out in the winter. Just wondering if anybody has the best guess as to what’s the problem was. There’s about 100 hours since my last filter and fluid change on the hydrostatic system.

Not sure what is going on with that. Have you cheked the oil level in the transmission to see if its at the correct level? Sounds like its low or out of hyd. Fluid or just is not getting enough. Might pay to invest in some sort of magnetic heater to place on the bottom of the transmission housing, if parked close to an outlet and if the hyd. Oil is at the correct level.
