Accidents sure can happen in a hurry. Glad you are OK.

Now, about the pictures...:D

Like David inferred..."Stuff happens"
Glad to hear you got out of the way.
Unfortunately, an occurence like this begs for some details, i.e.,
1) did it go "all the way" in the pond?
2) Did you get it out?
3) Did it start back up?
3) Does your wife/GF/mother/next door neighbor have any pictures they'd like to share?
Seriously, glad no one was hurt.

Hope you live far enough off the road that nobody saw it happen, could be a bit embarassing.:) Glad you are not hurt, that's the most important thing.

I submarined a new 135 with 25 hours on it, my first brand new tractor at 20 yrs. old. Was backing up to the edge of a pond with bush hog when the bank caved. Engine hot and at max RPM's, pulling in 1st high as hard as it could dig when the breather hit the water. Rode it all the way down. Probably the longest walk home I ever made. Dealer replaced 3 bent connecting rods and changed out the fluids, proved to be the best tractor I ever owned.

A hired hand sunk my JD "M" in a different pond about 6 months later, but luckily it was only idleing and did no mechanical damage.

My buddies found a sub commander's hat, bought and gave it to me for my 30th birthday. One of my most prized possesions.

I am a witness that tractors do not float....at all:D

hey! i thought about pics after i got it out, they would have been good. it went about 20 feet out just idleing, all i could see was lights under water and the canopy. lesson learned!!!

So did it suck water into the engine and die or was 20 feet out still too shallow?

well i have got tractor running again after much work. i have a problem with the tractor smoking white/ blue. i changed the injectors and cleaned the fuel tank of all water. at start up the smoke is thick, after i run for about 30 mins it gets alot better, also i have a small skip, and if it sits idleing the engine will rev-up and go back to idle and repeat. any ideas on what to check, or does it just need to be ran awhile?? please help!!!
