have a ten year old 3120 with about 600 hours on it. have checked and torqued thrust bolt on front axle every 50 hours.
last oil change i ran out of thread on the thrust bolt so couldnt get it to proper torque.
has anyone else experienced this?
what is the procedure to replace the bushing and be able to once again torque the thrust washer.

I have a 4320 compact and I have replaced the bushings and thrust plate on my tractor. Per the parts list on John Deere you have the same front bushing that I have on my tractor. It is a synthetic material. Your back bearing is probably the same material. It is not a bearing bronze type material. The same goes for the thrust bushing/ plate / disk should be synthetic material like mine. The front plate/ disk that the adjustment bolt pushes against is steel. The synthetic bushings have a precision OD but it ID is the as wound / spun finish/ rippled. That transfers a rippled finish to the to the snout of the differential housing front and rear/ looks ugly. It can be hand dressed to smooth out. If you are going to change out the bushings and thrust washer let me know and I can detail how to do it. My first attempt did not work. Later
