3130 la723 loader kubota rep at Ohio power show

I second that the Rep was probably taking about the engine power. It is low at the PTO for a tractor of its size. The hydraulic system is the same on those tractors, the loader just has larger cylinders so its going to lift a shade slower than the LA513. I'd say a bulk of the 3130's we sell go with 723 loaders and I have not heard any complaints.

Fortunately, the power show rep and Ramon49 are both wrong about the L3130/723 tractor loader combination. It is a fantastic rig. You will not be disappointed if you purchase.

I have the L3430/723, but have operated the L3130/723 rig many times. I have noticed no difference when it comes to loader work.

The L3130 and LA723 are a great combo, I admit I was skeptical at first because that's the only loader(more money) the dealer said he could find locally, there were no LA513's to be found at that time. Being tractor-less at the time I needed a tractor/loader ASAP, now nearly a year later I am very pleased with the performance this combination.

Seems I'm taking allot of heat for DIS'in the 3130! I know it's hard to admit that any thing we buy is wrong and we all want to save face. I haven't heard any one say they are satisified with the 3130 working on gentle slopes or hill or grades. Straight aways and level ground the tractor does ok. It's when you load this baby it's a DOG. If your going to tell me you don't "baby" this 3130 when you go up an incline, of less than 2 degress, with a bucket of 2"minus I'd be hogtied and bewildered!

I had to settle for the LA513, but I would have liked the LA723 because of the backhoe option. L3130 GST

Perhaps you are right. I can tell you that the slightly more powerful L3830 does not suffer from this. Based on the information you have supplied, in particular the .1 mph, smoke and Low range and the comments contrary to that still puzzle many of us. It's almost like your describing a situation where the brake is on. I hope one way or the other you get it straightened out. Check out the comment someone made about theirs and the fuel quality on a L3130 GST.

ramon49, In all honesty have you owned a tractor before and do you know how to properly drive a hydrostatic transmission? Some of what you are seeing can happen because of operator error.

my guess is that the L3130 / LA513 combination are what he had on his lot. too bad Kubota wasn't able to have any factory reps there this year /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Messick, Owned 3 with HST's , gave benefit of the the doubt that I was the problem when I first got it, so I stopped and smelled the pine trees. After additiional 20 hours of using the L3130 tractor I have to say this thing is UNDERPOWERED. I would only recommend this to someone who lives on flat ground. Kubota should RECALL this model and put in a bigger motor.

I have a 3830 GST w/732 and love it, but what I did find is that the hyd. pressure was set 200 psi below spec. Kubota does this on purpose so things don't get broken by inexperenced users. There are shims avilable from Kubota to get the pressure to 2625psi which is what my manual says the pressure should be. Just my 2 cents.
