My beautiful new 3215 FWD will soon be featured in it's "tractor warming" party. I have cleaned, polished, & waxed about everything, including the back side of the wheels, the undercarriage, and the FEL. The engine cowling (hood) (bonnet) came from the factory pretty shiny, but with a slight haze in the paint. So I removed it yesterday and took it to my buddy who owns a body shop. For just $50.00 he carefully wet-sanded it with 3000 grit paper, then buffed it out with 3 grades of liquid compound. Now it's as shiny as a mirror!
So last night I had the engine cover in the bedroom while applying 3 final coats of wax/polish for that lasting shine & protection. The wife about had a fit! She admonished me to "go play with your tractor out in the garage!" She wishes I'd pay as much attention to HER as I do the 3215. Maybe if I'm more attentive to her, she'll invite more guests to the big TWP!
