Dave, I too prefer gears. You have jogged my memory regarding HST's though, louder due to higher rpm's. Do you feel that an 8x8 trans has enough range? I seam to be fixated on a 12x12 trans. Probably because of the 7520. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I wish they built a mini 7520. That would be too cool /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Would a 3215 run a 90" flail mower for cutting a lawn? That is the only power question I'm concerned with that I can think of.
But none of this really matters until I get the price for the barn, other than more info to help make a final decision. Oh when you get a price for that blue paint job, The color is New Holland Blue (63/00) #9613385DS /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Just for future reference /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Brian, I mowed 5 acres with a 3215 shuttle with a heavy duty Vrismo 84" flail. Weeds were between 12" and 36" tall. Running in low 4th, I never ran low on power. I could run high 1st in most areas fine, but I prefer to mow slower. Mowing lawn with a 90" flail wouldn't be a problem. An HST might be at it's limit, but the shuttle will do fine.

Wouldn't counseling be cheaper than painting everything you own blue? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Are you guys making fun of me ? When I bought my Bronco ll,

My other tractors are yellow, does that count for anything? I seem to like the red tractors, I just don't like the color red. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif My 7520 sure looks good blue though /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Thought that I would show you guys my newest tool. I couldn't decide on an implement for the 7520, so I got this old yellow piece of equipment. I'll think of something to use it for. Maybe washing the underside of my stuff, putting up the barn that I can't afford.

Brian- Here it is July 6 and I'm finally going to take delivery of my 3215HST on Saturday, but to the wrong place. It's paid for and has been sitting at the dealers for the last three weeks waiting for me to have a place to put it. We are about to begin having a home built on a new property. I intended to have a small garage/barn go up first to have a place to keep the tractor and to store buildng materials for the house construction. Turns out the county building commission would not issue a building permit on the garage until they issued the house permit. Said it was two feet to big to be allowed an early permit. So I am still about a month away from having a place to keep the tractor at the new place. The dealer is going to deliver it to my current home on Saturday-- I would not impose on him to hold it any longer. It will go into the garage in my truck's spot and all I'll be able to do is look at it for the next few weeks!

Wow.. I almost want to cry just reading that... I would be sick not being able to use it. Do you plan to sleep in the garage? Nice air matress and a sleeping bag? You have to bond somehow....

mjzman, thanks for the update. Sorry to here about your permit problems. We sort of have the same problems here. They want you to have a house before you can have a barn. Sort of backwards if you ask me. I've talked to a few people that were able to get their barn permits first, they said they had to whine a lot and be very persistent.

At least with your tractor being delivered to your house, now you can take some time to get familiar with it before you start to use it.

Good luck, and I still hope to get your report back on it.

Thanks Brian
