beenthere, That is the actual PTO

I do have rear PTO's on my tractors and on the 318 has the gearbox for my 47 mechanical driven tiller. Both use the same gear oil!

It is the same one shown for the 332, There is a fill/drain plug, it is #20 in the diagram.

Thanks, brought me up to speed.. so "gear oil" is the answer?

Yeap, 80W-90 or 90 in the rear gear case, not on the actual PTO. I'm wondering if you had the 4X5 series in mind.

So are the service specs for this in the tiller manual since its not covered in the tractor manual???

Service Instructions are on page 20 of the Owner's manual for the tiller OM-M70369 V6

Also getting back to the previous topic, the PTO drive gear case takes only 8 oz of gear oil (M74202-I7 manual on the rear PTO/gear case)
