32LC Bucket Failed

So, my $1100 cylinder showed up and I installed it on the right side, only to find I still had a "limp" bucket. I pulled the left cylinder, swapped the fittings, and reinstalled the (original) right one in it's place - viola! I had a bucket again! Unfortunately, I still have a slow leak-down of the bucket, so I imagine the original right cylinder is not long for this world. If anyone knows of a good cylinder rebuild shop, please PM or share via this thread. I bet I'll need a spare soon enough.

To all who helped with advice, thanks. If anyone needs a functional center valve, let me know.

I'll post again when something else breaks!

Glad you found the problem and your loader is somewhat functional again.

It will be interesting to see what was wrong with the damaged cylinder. Since you have the damaged one off, pull it apart if you can and see whats wrong with it. Make sure you drain it first! (Don't ask how I know this.) If it's just seals as I suspect, you may be able to rebuild it yourself. If not, you can then take it to a hydraulic shop and get it repaired. Hopefully the piston and rod are not damaged and the cyinder is not scored.

It's been a long time since I took one apart (~1964!) and I know the seal technology has changed dramatically since then but the principle is still the same.
