Ahhhh... I didn't realize that was being done. You probly mentioned it and I forgot. Many years ago I built a 30x50. Couldn't afford concrete the first couple years so poured it later. No fancy pump trucks. Made a chute and dragged it the rest of the way. Had lots of help, thank God.... :) Do I see window holes along the side the walkin is on?? If you are going to work in this building you can't have too many windows. I have 6 windows plus full glass panel in each of my 3 12ft wide rollup doors. I only have to turn on the lights on dark cloudy days. A well built and equipped shop/barn is good for a man's Soul. :)

Lol. That would be Windows being cut in

Two front window and one rear window are 3'x7' that open.

The side you see will be (2) 4'x7' Windows

The wall you don't see will be a 2'x6' I believ..

All the windows open and will have screens. A total of 6 Windows. I think it amounts to 131 sqft of window.

Ovrszd you could not have spoken truer words. I can spend hours in my shop Doug seemingly nothing. Last night my wife made a comment that I will probably die out in my shop. I told her I could only be so lucky. Only thing that makes being in my shop even better is when my boys are out in shop with me!

Glad you enjoy it as much as I do. I spend my Winter days there for sure. This time of year, not so much.

Ken, it looks great. You are sure to enjoy it for years to come.
After I built my barn last fall, my wife calls herself a "barn widow".
I second the plenty of natural light. I have translucent panels on both sides of the barn full length. No need for lights other than at night.

Looking forward to pics of the progress. Thanks for posting.

Love your picture posts.

Actually it's 30% alfalfa and 70% Oats. Great cow feed.

Just read through your pictures... I was impressed with the Trencher, wow !
My shop foundation work is set for three weeks out, if permit are ok'd, and I am thinking that is the way to go.
Riverside County in SoCal has a new reason not to give you a permit every time you go in to get the original one.

Looks great !

I agree concerning the translucent panels if you are not heating the building. In the OP's case, he's obviously heating. Those panels can't be used.

Very true.

Mine is all solar heat; works great in the summer, not so great in the winter.
