I thought it would be easy to find an answer but a search didn't return anything.
My 2005 3320 has had a slow leak at the hydraulic pump filter cover since I did my first fluid change. I nursed it along until I couldn't stand it any more and I got farther into my change interval. Finally did another change with new fluid, filter and cover o-ring. The parts guy said the book showed 2 o-rings, which I bought, one on either side of the filter.
There was one by the screw threads but I couldn't find the second one. It is a large o-ring and would not fit anything inside the filter ***'y. So I lubed up the cover o-ring with some hydro fluid and put it all back together.
I ran it a little and all seemed good. Came back the next evening and a brand new puddle coming from the cover again.
What am I missing? Is there a trick to this? Is there really a second o-ring in there somewhere or was there some kind of design change?
Thanks,
Warren
