3320 hydro MotionMatch standard equip or option?

Hello everyone

I just purchased a 3320 ehydro and I want to know if the Motion Match feature is a standard feature or a option. The JD website shows it as a feature and does not state it as being an option. All of the other ad ons specify the fact that they are options. I was expecting my tractor to be equiped with MotionMatch and it came without it. My dealer says it is a Dealer installed option that I will have to pay for.
Can anyone clarify this for me?

Let me horn in your thread. I too am looking at 3320 or 3520. I am tring to decied on motion and load etc. match for my tractor. I did not see it on the build out. What is the cost. I too might of been caught by surprize.

My understanding is the Load match and Motion match are standard on the 3320 e-hydro.Speedmatch is an option. Of course I could be wrong. I find out new things about a John Deere every day. I just recently found out that the grease zerks on the deck wheels on a X495 are not used to grease the wheels. (Straight from John Deere Dealers Mouth. Said he even called John Deere -- says if you use a grease gun to install grease the back of the anit scalp wheel will develope a leak) When told to peddle this some where else I was not buying, he replied all wheels with a grease zerk have weep holes to let the grease escape. I left got too deep for me.

Look in your owners manual. I think it will also state motion and load match are standard and speed match is an option.

I just checked all of the quotes I got on the 3000 series tractors & nowhere does it show the load match. I know my dealer mentioned it's advantage at one point in time but that was early on in my quest.

The 3000 series slick shows load match but only for the e-hydro. The "other options" column makes no mention of "load match".

When I went to the website & checked the specs it certainly seems like you should have gotten the load match when you ordered the e-hydro. I even went so far as to build a 3320 with e-hydro and was not presented with the option of ordering load match at any time. I would like to assume that it comes std wtih e-hydro but I may be blowin smoke here. I think we need to wait for someone in the know.

My dealer qouted the price of $189.00, this was over the phone and I was busy at the time and forgot to ask if this included labor.
The tractor has the Load Match feature and the Cruise Control, its just missing the Motion Match.

This is what I found out while researching as well ...

I also noticed that the $86 option gets you a set of switches plus a small harness plug. So, I'm guessing that the "feature" is built into the computer, you just need the switches+plug to control it ... nice eh?

Look it up in the online parts catalog and you'll see what I mean (part number LVB25548)

If someone was inclined (and had a good schematic), could probably DIY ...

I own a 3320 with ehydro and the auto cruise upgrade. So here is the deal (info from me and the manual.

All 3X20s ehydros have load match. LoadMatch enables the operator to prevent the engine stalling during heavy load applications such as operating with a loader. You activate Load Match with a rocker on the left side of the steering wheel.

All 3X20 machines also have Motion Match. MotionMatch enables the operator to adjust machine acceleration and deceleration rates. Shorter starting and stopping distances can be set for applications requiring rapid changes in direction, such as operating with a loader. Longer starting and stopping distances can be set to avoid turf damage in other applications.

A MotionMatch setting of 1 is the shortest rolling (starting/stopping) distance, and a setting of 9 is the longest rolling (starting/stopping) distance.

Changing MotionMatch Setting
1. Press and hold the display mode switch until the display reads "Release".

2. Release the display mode switch and display should read "Coast".

3. Press the display mode switch once again.

4. For machines without MotionMatch switch:

a. Push the turn signal switch to change to desired setting between 1 and 9. Position 5 is displayed as "DEF", the factory default.

5. Basically if you have the upgrade you have a long and short setting with the rocker. For machines with MotionMatch switch (UPGRADE - switch 3 on the upgrade panel):

a. Push the turn signal switch to change to desired setting between 5 and 9. Position 5 is displayed as "LONG_D", the factory default.

b. Push the turn signal switch to change to desired setting between 1 and 5. Position 5 is displayed as "SHRT_D", the factory default.

6. To confirm the changes for MotionMatch setting, press display mode switch once again.

All Machines also have cruise. It is the rocker on the right. With the auto cruise upgrade you can increase and reduce speed with the rocker (this is the second switch on the upgraded tractor) instead of having to reset the speed all the time with the pedal.

The long and short of it - its $86 on a 20K+ tractor - buy it. Or get it later as you can install it yourself.

Others have verified that motion match and load match are standard on a 3320 e-hydro. I just want to add that load match really works. I leave it on all the time and wonder why they have a switch to turn it off. Maybe just so you can turn it off for a test and see the difference.

Simple concept: as the load is increased, automatically reduce the effective gear ratio to keep the RPM's up. Sort of an ATC (automatic torque control) if you will.

I know, I wondered why it would be on a switch also. There isn't any practical reason to shut it off, none that I can think of. I leave mine on all the time. I do think it is a test stunt switch, don't you?
