Buying Advice 3320 vs 3520 JD. Turbo or not

Any issues with turbos on the 3520?
I always want more power whether I use it or not. I will have to order the 3520 and the 3320 is in stock. I want the 300cx loader , 2 remotes, vertical stack, top & tilt.
These are 2012
I could save $1000 on a 3320 built June of 2010 new old stock, but it is weather worn.
Just looking for some feed back....

For pto work get the 3520 otherwise stick with the 3320. You'll run out of traction before hp. And they're identical in every other dept. I've been very impressed with mine.

What about the power reverser?

I like it, but for others (family members) I think the HST is idiot proof.
Resale is better on the HST from what I have seen.

the ONLY reason i went with the 3520 is for the extra power mowing with 72 inch mid mount mower with A/c running in the cab. I have read about performance issues with a/c running and higher grass. IF not for the cab, i woulda went with the 3320 hands down because i wont be running many rear attachments

HST is a must for any CUT. Won't regret it. I have the PowerReverser on the 5410 and HST on the 3120 and they are both better at their respective jobs. A CUT needs to get close to things, hence the HST, a Utility needs power, hence the PowerReverser.

Get the HST. If you're planning to do alot of finish mowing and that typically involves obstacles and close-in work: you'll be Soooo happy you went with the HST.

And yes, the resale or trade-in is much better! :thumbsup:

If you plan on doing much loader work, you won't regret getting HST. It's so much easier to use and allows you to do more work in less time.

I love my 3520. I have the PR, and while I agree with the others about the HST, don't think you can't inch into a pile or truck with the PR. I have absolutely no issues loading vehicles with mine which requires me to get really close. It does take some practice, but the PR is a nice transmission. Again though, agree with the others that the HST just makes it really simple.

BTW, I have the 665 tiller and it is a very nice tiller and have zero issues running it with the 3520.

The turbo will usually give you a better torque curve and that alone will make the tractor nicer to operate. I'm sure that the non turbo is fine, but IMO the turbo machine would be nicer to have. But it all costs $$$$ and with the $$$$ saved with the 3320 you could buy your "TnT" kit and have $$$ left over. :thumbsup:

I passed on the 3520 b/c I didn't (and still don't) need more PTO power than the 3320 offers. Ended up with HST even though I wanted the PR b/c an HST model was on the lot and the dealer gave me a deal. Glad since then that I got the HST. I also run out of traction before HP, but the only PTO I use is a rear mount snowblower.
