I cobbled these together on my day off. It is 4 inch pressure rated PVC for the chain holder. The short is 14 inches and used for tools of the day. The tall is 18 inches and holds one HF 3/8 chain. I was tired of putting them on the floorboards. The left (brake) side I had to move out so the short one hangs over--I will get a cap for the bottom in the future

The chainsaw holder used the loader support on the old style loader. I have included a pic of the other side. I used washers to space the 2x6s the correct distance apart. I only have a stihl 017 with a 14 inch bar so this works well for me. Paint is for the future(maybe).

Merely a suggestion (I need to make a chain holder -- good idea). The bar covers are fairly cheap -- put one between the 2x6's? Or, just rip out a slot in one of them and bolt them back together. Protect the blade from hitting the washers that way.

I love it! Now that you mention it there is a bar cover somewhere in the barn that came with the saw. Thanks.

cold and windy here so a good day to work in the barn--I already put your idea to work. Thanks again. Also added the grate to the bottom of the overhanging pipe. This was meant for a french drain and is not tight to the pipe but it is tight to the floorboard so should work well.
Thanks for looking

Are there holes to use on the back of the loader upright? or did you have to drill to mount the saw holder?

That's a nice simple way to carry a saw. A little white paint would finsh it off nicely.

first post pic #4 shows the hole on the other side. I only used one carraige bolt. It is pretty tight. If it tries to rotate I will go to plan B

While moving some snow tonight, I decided that I need more light out front. Now I am thinking about crafting a combo saw mount/light bracket on each side.

This forum is full of good ideas.

In place of the washers for spacers, I just sandwiched two strips of wood to space the gap. Then the chainsaw teeth will stay sharp longer.

What I did...
