Tractor
Kubota 3430 hst
I posted a couple days ago about having problems with our new tractor not being able to lift anything. The loader on the tractor is a 513. It will not pick up anything with out shaking or backing and rolling. Does a 723 bolt right on? They also mounted our controls for the grapple on the fender well. We have to step over hydraulic lines. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Also, What is the difference in the 513, 523, and 723 loaders?

Bear with me if this sounds too basic for you, because I don't know how much you know about your tractor, but we need a little more information.
What are you trying to pick up?
What size bucket is on the loader?
Standard or heavy duty?
What engine rpm are you running while working?
You indicate you have a grapple, how much does it weigh?
Kubotas literature says the 513 loader can lift 1003 lbs with the standard bucket 500 mm forward of the pivot pins where the bucket attaches to the FEL. If you have a heavier bucket and grapple you have to subtract the weight of those from the total.
Also operating technique has a lot to do with loader performance and if you are an experienced operator of construction equipment, maybe you are expecting too much from a compact tractor. Last but not least maybe your tractor has hydraulic issues that need to be addressed by your dealer.

I mistakenly wrote LA523 - there is no such model. LA513 and LA723 are the 2 loaders for the 3130. The LA513 should do pretty much what you want it to (within reason). It might take a bit to get used to working it properly. After you get dirt in the bucket, curl the bucket up and then raise it. It should breakaway from whatever you're digging from.

The owners manual for the loader explains good techniques for usage, but we know that practice is the best teacher.

I am not an experienced professional. I hire those to work for me. I jumped into this tractor because of an unexpected hurricane and a surge in potential work. I do know that the gentleman I have running it said "the loader is weak." I then found out that there was options on the loader. I only want the best. If the 723 works harder and lifts more, then that is what I need. Does it work on a 3430? I know now that it does. The grappler has 2 seperate peices for the upper part that pinches. The tooths do not go all the way across the top. Is that normal for this small of a tractor or is there a better set that will also allow for the controls to be added to the main controls and not side mounted on the tractor? I will be far more knowledgable on tractors when I am finished.

I added Kubota remote hydraulic valves to my L3130 to control the grapple and other stuff. Still have the hydraulic lines on the deck outside the HST treadle. Not too much in the way there. I plan sometime in the future to reroute the lines under the deck. Just have to build some hangers for them.

It is a relative clean installation as is.
