New owner of a 2005 3510 gear tractor, comes from a 1 owner garage kept house with 1200hrs. I have a few questions, hopefully you guys can help with.

I noticed on the back of the tractor there are two remotes, the original owner stated he never used them. I don't see a valve or lever anywhere in the operator station to operate the remotes, was this a dealer add on that potentially wasn't purchased or am I missing something?

The original owner cleaned the tractor prior to me picking it up, I'm pretty sure with a pressure washer. It seems water must have gotten into places it shouldn't have as I'm seeing some weird things going on. At first the turn signals weren't working, after pulling one of the harness plugs, drying and applying die-electric grease they are now working. I know the original owner well and have used this tractor in the past, this issue has just come up after washing.

The glow plug light is on faintly even with the key in the off position. When started it goes out and seems to run fine but I'm a little worried why the glow plug light would be on faintly in the off position. Am I on the right track to continue disconnecting harnesses and applying die-electric grease and this might be related to the cleaning? Anything else I should look for?

The control lever for the rear remotes should be identical to my 4110 and it is right next to the seat on the right side. For one set of remotes you have 2 hoses/connectors. 2 sets of remotes would have 4 connections back there and 2 levers beside the seat. Don't confuse these with the 2, 3 pt controls - the one that raises and lowers the 3 pt and the other one being the draft control lever.

I found the remote lever, I was looking it over last night and stumbled upon it. Greatly appreciate the help though!

As for my electrical issue I was wrong in my first post, the light(s) that remain on after the key is turned off are the oil pressure and battery not the glow plug as previously indicated. I've found if I turn the key on and off several times the light(s) will eventually go off, possibly a bad connection at the key switch or bad key switch? The lights do go out once the tractor is started.

Any suggestions on my electrical problem? I’m sort of at a loss.

That's only 2 questions, where are the other 3,508? :)

If indicator light is partially on, it probably means plugs are too. Is possible, test if the glow plugs themselves are "faintly on" with a voltmeter? Hope it's not a key switch issue. Maybe check connections there?

When you say apply dielectric grease (an insulator), do you mean to the connections before you put them back together, or around connections after you clean them and put them together?

Edit: Saw your comment about which lights are staying on. Sounds like it is a key switch issue, not completely turning off; but enough where fuel shutoff is dropping out and shutting engine down, but leaking enough that you're getting the lights you'd get if you turn key to "On" but don't start the engine.

My thought regarding the die electric grease was to pull the connectors apart, clean and apply grease before snapping them back together. I’ve had success solving intermittent electrical issues on my zero turn with this method.

There dosent appear to be an easy way to pull the switch, do I need to disassemble the firewall panel to gain access?

On my 3510 there is an access panel on the top right in front of the steering wheel. The switch is held on with a large nut. Remove the nut and you should be able to pull the switch out thru the access panel. Before buying a new switch, I would clean the contacts and make sure they are seated firmly.

Thanks, I will try that for sure.

Is yours the new style or old style 3510? I can’t seem to find the access panel.

I figured out how to access the switch, you have to remove the instrument panel. Out of time tonight to go any further, will update tomorrow.
