I need a 12V source with a switch for a solenoid valve on a trailer. Are there spare spots in the stock fuse box on this machine? I do not have a cab. Any links to past threads for electrical modifications would be helpful.

As far as spare locations on your fuse box...look at your operator's manual. Might be something there.
As far as what I did...the 12v outlet was mounted on the key switch panel and I did run the wiring directly from the battery with an inline fuse. Depending on the switch you use, you may need a relay.

I found two blank spots in the fuse box, one with constant power and one with power only when the tractor is on. The latter is perfect. How do I connect a wire into the back of the fuse box? Any particular connector needed? I can pick up a ground at the back of the tractor, so only one wire is needed.

I suggest you use the same attaching method as the other fuses. You'll probably have to pull the fuse box to do this.
I've never had my fuse box pulled, so I don't know what type connector is used. Might be a forked connector screwed tight to the fuse box...but that's a guess.
As far as running the hot wire...do protect it somehow. If you can bundle it with the wiring harness, great...if not, get some of that corrugated flexible plastic tubing. IIRC, it's $0.59 at NAPA. Use plenty of wire ties to secure it to the tractor.
