What's the turbo heat thing about?

Zinno87-
Not to get too far off-topic, but it's recommended that you let a turbo-charged engine cool down before shutting it off.

Jeepinator-
It sounds like those "switches" you were looking at are really transistors. The 5V is probably the energizing voltage (actually it works off current).

NoMo, that is what I was thinking. A potentiometer adjusted regulator type thing, where the pedal linkage is rotating the potentiometer. The units look beefy and not serviceable (except by replacement).
I'll stop by my dealer and see what they say. They might have something simple... or don't mind a toolbox laden ATV ride down to the tractor :D
Or it may not be the pedal mechanism at all

There is indeed a loop plug, fortunately still zip tied to the chassis, and it was disconnected. The other side was not exactly dangling, but I got a good laugh wondering how I missed it.
She started right up like she missed me :D

Thanks again.

If you have a turbo charged engine, most new JD's are, you can't just turn off the engine after a hard day's work operating at high RPMs. You have to let the turbo charger cool by idling at a low speed for a minute or two or you'll warp the valves to it.
When I let it cool, I normally find something to do, like disconnect the implement I was using or something.

Thank all of you for yet another little gem to add to the JD obscure problem answer file. Hopefully if my turn comes I'll already have the answer on file :)
