Anytime I use the four wheel drive and get aggressive with the fel the tractor continues to want to move even though I have taken my foot off the forward pedal.I have on occasion had to bump the reverse pedal to stop it before it sometimes will stall the tractor. The forward pedal also seems to be more stiff when it is pushing under load.Ive owned hydros before and none of them had the go stop issues like Im seeing on my 3540 Mahindra with 25 hrs on the meter.Any one else seen any of this?

Have you tried to adjust the linkage on the forward pedal? just simple mechanical levers.. if you look under the platform you will be able to see the linkage with adjustment rod

I've noticed this with my 3550 as well.

I thought that this was somewhat inherent with the design, since you don't want the tractor to stop moving instantly when removing your foot from the pedal, especially when in high range. It seems to gently increase pressure when stomping on the pedal, and gently decrease pressure when removing my foot.

I noticed the forward sticking (and needing to hit reverse to free it) only when it was new, it has not been a problem recently that I can remember. Probably just a bit of paint in there.

Removing your foot from the pedal just removes the angle of the swashplate. The pressure is still there. A hydrostatic drive tractor is quite like a simple power washer. Remember, low range and more rpms to keep hydrostatic drive from premature failure. If you hear groaning then you are damaging the system.

Did you ever find a solution for this? I am digging and moving a lot of dirt on my property and this is a very annoying issue. I had my 3540 at my dealer to try to solve this. They couldn’t. They let me try a 3550 they had on the lot and it was as bad or worse. They said they would register a complaint, or words to that effect, with Mahindra that I felt like this was a safety issue and that would get some action. I haven’t heard anything and it’s been a while. Pushing the reverse pedal doesn’t seem to help the issue either. I’m afraid I’m gonna wear out the starter.

I had this same problem with my 2538. "Navasot" correctly points out that there is linkage under the platform to let you adjust the total travel of the pedals.
Simple union fitting to turn.
Completely eliminated my creep by adjusting the linkage a couple of times. Don't over do it initially. If you turn the union the wrong way, the tractor could actually take off on you.
