Hmmm that’s obviously high! The aftermarket brand is less even with new cables! Ask TBN on the hydraulics forum and or call the surplus center. You can also look for a post a few weeks ago from a Mahindra dealer who will ship parts.

I think the new one you get from dealership will come with new cables. The one I got come with everything ready to hook up then you adjust it so joystick is centered. Mine was for a 4035 but probably the same thing since its the 35 series.

The loaders I have worked on the JS cables are just attached with set screws . I would think that there would only be a few manufactures of the joystick . I doubt the Tractor manufactures build there own so they should be kinda of generic .

Thanks everyone for the help. I still would like to find a different brand of joystick although I was able to fix this one. I was able to back the screw out of the knuckle where it attached to the plastic housing and add a larger washer where it had pulled thru the housing. So far everything is working great. I did discover what caused the mishap. There is a round ring on the grip that has a rod that goes thru the center of the joystick. That can lower enough to pass thru a hole in the center of the housing and locks the joystick. Not sure of the purpose of this unless it is a lock for the joystick. Thanks again.

Mine has a lock also, the ring is at the top of the boot and when I center the joystick I push down on ring and it locks. I think its a safety thing and if you didn’t have front end loader on it might keep you from putting pressure on the lines forcing it in bypass. I read something about it in the book but like most things I can’t remember. Glad you got it fixed and hope you have no more trouble with it. Good luck

what you have there is a Cofle brand joystick they are found on several tractors. i am working on one right now where the cables are dragging real hard internally. which is a big problem with these joysticks. we have 3 tractors with it on there and have had to replace all of them some two times, they are not very reliable. i havent found anywhere where you can just buy parts for it, and its dealer only in most cases.
