36\" Rear Dirt Scoop

I am looking at buying a 36" rear dirt scoop to use with my TC40D. Anyone think I will have trouble with the increased weight [ vs. the standard 30" ] ?

Re: 36\" Rear Dirt Scoop

Just as an educated guess, I would say you would not have any problems. My TC29D handles a 30" scoop easily, so a TC40D would probably be on the right scale for a 36" scoop.

I've never seen a 36 inch dirt scoop. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif

Who makes it ?

Re: 36\" Rear Dirt Scoop

Jerry, so far I have only found one at www.Agri-Supply.com. They have a retail store about 75 miles from me [Florence, SC], otherwise I would have to pay to have it shipped by motor freight[ $50-$100]. It costs about $100 more than the 30" [ $310 vs $200 ], but the 30" looks to me like it woulden't hold very much. Of course, I don't know how much difference 6" would make.

China Depot (www.chinadepot.com?) makes one too but it cost more. Is the one at Agri reversable?

Re: 36\" Rear Dirt Scoop

Nuru, I don't know for sure, as I have not seen it or a picture of it, and the description on the website does not say. I sent an E-Mail today requesting a more detailed description, so I should soon know. Unfortunately, the ChinaDepot model has category 2 pins. I included that detail in my inquiry to Ag-Supply. I don't know if it would be possible to somehow use bushings to convert the cat. 2 to accept my cat. 1 3ph.

Could somebody post a picture of their scoop? I haven't seen any good pictures on any websites.

CP; I did not realize that it had Cat 2 pins, i thought it was definitely CAT 1 compatible?

Re: 36\" Rear Dirt Scoop

Don't forget, standard cat. 1 lower link spacing is 26". A 30" scoop is pushing the limit on tire clearance even with pins reversed. I'm not sure, with a 36" scoop, that the links would clear the tires even with pins reversed.

Re: 36\" Rear Dirt Scoop

I don't believe bushings will make a cat. 2 pin fit a cat. 1 link.
