My 3720 4 wheel drive started making a binding noise today that sounds like something will brake if I leave it in 4 wheel drive. I disengaged the 4x4 and confirmed that is definitely the 4x4. I looked in the manual after I found that the axel torque bolt was loose. I retightened it to 24 ft. lbs. but still have the binding. Anyone ever have a similar problem?
Mine also has been leaking hydraulic oil at the rear since the fall of 2005 which I recently had repaired by the dealer after I discovered that 2 of the bolts that attach the plates which the backhoe mounts were stripped. The JD rep was in the dealer when they repaired it and the consensus was that the weight of the 448 hoe caused the bolts to loosen. I don't know if I buy that but it is no longer leaking.
I have loved my 3720 but if the problems continue it may change to like. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
