3720 JD cab with poor heat

I would love to take the roof off and check the cables to the knobs but it would be a cold pain in the ***** (do these forums kick out foul language?) and I don't want to mess up the seal.

I've had my roof off a 2 or 3 times. I doubt very much you'd damage the seals with two people, one on each side of tractor on step ladders, lifting straight up to remove the top shell. My 68 year old wife helped me remove and install my roof. The plastic roof isn't heavy but needs a person on each side to balance it and keep it straight.

Exactly. All I said is that it's not a one-man job. Two guys, two step ladders, lift straight up, walk it down. There are four posts that connect the lid to the bottom half of the top. Those are the culprits that do damage not lifted clear of the seal.

greg, sunnyside, I see I think 3 bolts/burs/screws on each side (open the doors to get at) and on the front if memory serves me...then there must be 3 or so hiding under the back air filter/intake on the back of the cab? Mine's sitting inside a garage with heat set at about 45, shouldn't be so bad....and I can get help easy enough if it is indeed not too heavy for the older gent who owns the house garage it's in....

The knobs and the underlying internal adjustment with cables (so folks have said here) are suspect to me. Maybe it's just the way it is but the knobs do not traverse the whole range of hot and cold. I.e. - I think on mine the cold won't go all the way to the coldest setting and the hot not all the way to the lowest setting based on the blue and red bars... Who knows if it is truly adjusted correctly. Others here have stated theirs was out of adjustment.

Remove the amber light housings to get to the lid fastening hardware
