I have a 447 backhoe w/13"bucket on a 3320 w/300cx. Have put about 50 hrs. on the 447 digging out tree stumps now. Im pleased with its performance, but it can take several hours to dig out a large stump. I have dug 150' of trench 18" deep in dry hard clay without any problems. The 448 has a 12" longer reach, that may come in handy for digging trenches. Dont have to move the tractor as many times. Also a little more curl power on the bucket. For my weekend use on ten acres the 447 does everything I need. My dealer recommended the 447 for the 3020 series size tractors, because it looks right. He has sold both on the 3020 series but thought the 448 looked to big. He recommends the 448 on the 4020 series. My opinion: its a matter of what you like and can afford. I took the money saved and bought more implements. I have a side view photo of mine posted in the John Deere photo section. If someone would post a 3020 series with a 448 you could compare the two.
