Ditto to what orangeguy said. I just traded in my
L3750 that I had for quite some time and put a bunch of hours on. That tractor was bullet proof. The weak spots front propeller shaft seal depending on model two different types of seals. Axle seals I went into alot of mud so that didn't help the matter. So I guess you could say weak point of that tractor some of the drive train, strong point engine and loader. The loader is the same style as the M-series loader that they are using now.
That 5cyl engine can't be beat. Smooth running easy starting man now your really making miss that old beast. When they loaded it up on the trailer it was like saying goodbye to a child going to college. But it was time for her to go getting up in age and to the point of alot of little breakdowns.
At 2300 hours as long as the fluids and air cleaner has been maintanted it's just getting broke in. Had over 8000 hours on mine when I traded. Looks are nothing when it comes to that series. They were ugly when new. Mine had a cab and was set up for woods work so it was even uglier. It's how a tractor works for me not what it looks like.
The only thing that I wish the
L3750 had was a hydro trans then it would have been perfect. My 4310 has got the hst and man oh man do I love it. I still find myself reaching for the shuttle shift on the column and it's not there on the 4310.
As for price I got 8500 trade in for it cab, loader and manuals. The dealer knew the history of the tractor and also helped to have a stack of records of maintance as well. But in this area used tractors are few and far between. A used tractor around here usually goes for almost as much as new---strange but true. On the new tractor he beat the best internet price by far. I was looking hard at the 4610 I like the heavier front axle but I couldn't pass up the deal on the 4310 I'll keep it for a year or two then probably trade up to the 4610 hst if I can get the right deal. Time will tell.
Goodluck
