Howdy all,

I just got a 1977 International 4x4 backhoe. Seems the trans may be toast so, I'm looking for some advice.

I may not be able to help but if you would describe some of the symptoms someone else may be able to.

And :welcome:

Thanks!

I've seen vids online that shows another one moving rather effortlessly. Mine on the other hand takes quite a bit of throttle to make move. That and it will only go into low gear. The specs say it has two speeds. I cant get it over 5.1 mph but it is supposed to have a high gear that will take it up to 22. Granted this machine has sat for most of the past 15 years. Maybe a complete system flush is in order or there's a screen plugged up somewhere. I don't have any information about the transmission so I'm kinda poking in the dark.
