3820i

I recently purchased a new 3820i , I looked long and hard before I chose a branson and I really like it I only have 16 hours on it . The only thing I 'am confused about is that when I start it the engine smokes for a few seconds white smoke, I called my dealer they told me to turn the key to the glow plugs and count to 7 I tried this and it doesen't help. Is anybody had this problem

I might or might not get a quick puff when I first start up during the warm season, depending on how long the tractor's been sitting.
During the winter I get the white smoke for about 2-3 seconds - but again, it might sit for a week or more between uses due to weather, work, and it getting dark before I get home.
I figure it's mostly just a temperature thing.
in the summer i generally don't use the glow plug unless the tractor doesn't fire up immediately.
In the winter I generally go longer than the "count 7" you were told to use.

I had a post going about a year ago; I never got a good answer. After about 30 hours it will slack off alot. My 3820 would smoke for 10 20 seconds then clear up. After it warms up all was/is fine. It will still smoke it I let it sit for a few days. I think the best answer I got was that the fuel pump was turned up for more power, and when its cold or cool there is fuel that is not being burnt which is the white smoke. ????

Thanks for the info, Georgia told me if it does not stop after 50 hrs for me to take it back to my dealer and let them adjust the timing on the injector pump, I guess this is not a big thing but it's not right, I have owned several tractors in the past. I really like my 3820i it is a well built machine . The grass is starting to grow in my pastures here I can't wait..;
