Ron your going to drive yourself crazy! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif First and foremost, get what you can afford, secondly, get what you really want. Don't be afraid of going outside the state, I purchased a Kubota L48 from Carvers, a company about 3000 miles away. Realize you will probably pay tax on it payable to the franchise tax board. Tax is about 7.25% unless you can prove ag use, then there is no tax. I got a tractor that I could do most any maintainence on and never needed much dealer assitance. If it comes down to a warranty issue, you can bring your tractor to a local dealer whether its comfortable for you to do so or not. The prices you quoted were a little high, but remember, were dealing with a population in California of 35 million people, many in what can be considered some of the best farm land in the world. Supply and demand will indeed play a part. The supply is short and the demand is high on Kubotas L30 tractors. You can only guess why that is. Rat...

Great, more people in s. wisconsin! Welcome to TBN, you should fill out your profile as well. I sent you a PM, should be there if you log in. I've tried calling a couple of times with no luck, last time I got disconnected. Will give it another shot later.

Re: no rocks?

Keith,

( "I don't think there's a rock one on my place. The CFO and I were talking just the other day and commenting that we might just have to import some! " )

Maybe we can work something out. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I have more than a few rocks up here in Burnet County, but not enough topsoil.

I was in Victoria last month on a Habitat for Humanity blitz build, and thought about you as we drove down US 71 from Hallettsville. That is pretty country, but I'll bet you were glad to get some rain. It had been pretty dry down there, according to the locals.

Following up on my own post...

Kubota credit likes me, so I signed my contract today! The dealer had already started ordering everything and got a phone call while I was in the office, telling him that my tractor was currently in Ohio, and being delivered.

I went with the entire package listed at the beginning of the thread, with a Landpride 1672 mower and Landpride boxblade. Total delivered price is 23,370, and I'll be sure to ask for a free hat. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Since I'm leaving on a business trip, I told him no rush, and it'll be ready when I get back home.
