I am about to decide on the L3830 with 723 loader, R4 tires, HST, and don't know what bucket to get. One guy says the commercial round back in 72" and another the 66" regular. Which is best per the collective experience. I will be bushhogging 17 acres and basic farm work. Also, what about the quick attach deal? Good, bad, or indifferent? Seems to be good. Thx.

I purchased the 72" HD bucket. I think it's the only way to go. It overs an extra sturdy top edge which I would think would increase torsional strength to help with uneven load stresses.

If you plan to load a lot of trucks, I would go for the bigger bucket...

If you do more digging and prying than moving material, I would go with the smaller HD bucket off the 513 loader....I got the 60" bucket...less bucket in the ground = more breakout power!!

As far as the QuikAttach...if you plan to have more than just a bucket on you loader it is the best way to go....bucket to forks to hay spear, etc...less than a minute!!!

The Kubota LA723 loader has 4 buckets available in either a standard duty or a heavy duty model. All are 72" wide and available as pin on or skid steer coupler attached. Hope this helps.

Thx for note. One fellow did say that if I was doing any back dragging the wider bucket would be better to cover wheel marks. Do you think that is the case?

If you get the LA 723, you can only get the 72" bucket. You will find that covering your tracks is a good way to go be it the front or the back.

I had my parent's tractor outfitted with the HD bucket and quick attach. I figured any loss in capacity would be more than made up in durability and useability. From the attached pic on delivery day last fall, the forks right away show their usefulness. Even if you don't go with the quick attach, I suggest the HD bucket. Chuck

Chuck, that's an interesting attachment on your folk's tractor! Looks like a combination of a bucket, a pallet fork and a grapple. What's the story?

That is not correct!! I have a 1 month old L3130HST with LA723 QA loader. My bucket is a 66" HD with an ATI grapple kit. You can get any of the buckets listed as compatible in the implement chart, it just depends on how cooperative your dealer and how bad he wants your business.

Please see my previous reply to RaT. Definitely go with the Quick Attach and HD bucket but select the size that best suits what you will be doing..
