3840 Tach Cover

I just purchased a new Montana 3840 compact tractor the clear dash cover is not clear it seams to have some type of coating that is cracking inside. I was wondering if this is an isolated case or if anyone else is having a similar problem?

this is a known problem with the LS machines...you can take the cover off and remove the film from the back side and that will clear things up!

I pull the dash out of every one, pull the clear plastic out, and carefully wash it with warm water and dish soap. Need to do it with clean hands and take your time but you'll actually feel the film coming off. When you start to wash it, it will be really slippery and you'll see the coating come off.

It's just part of my pre-delivery routine.
